Love Yourself on this DAY OF LOVE - so you can LOVE!

LOVE YOU!

Look at today as being a New Day - and consider it as the first day of your new life!

In this new day, on this DAY OF LOVE - see that God loves you, and believe that YOU love YOU and choose to ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE!

So, go take a look at yourself in the mirror! Notice the things about yourself that you like – that make you unique! To find your greatness, you must learn to appreciate self and you must be able to praise yourself. What do you see? What do you love? Maybe you love the tone of your skin, your sparkling eyes, your swan-like neck, your long legs and your curvaceous hips. I like my hands - they are just elegant. So, make sure you identify something you love - something that is GREAT about yourself.

What about your inner characteristics? Can you identify those that you are especially proud of or that you like? Maybe it’s that you are strong, organized, humorous, or giving. Whatever it is, you need to identify your own amazing qualities, and start believing in yourself!

So, accept the essence of who and how God created you to be! And realize that there is no one else like you! You were made as a "one of a kind" and you need to see yourself as God's finest masterpiece!

There’s no doubt that for many people there is really a challenge of loving oneself. But the biblical truth is, you have a cause for loving yourself and it’s all rooted in God and His view of you. That’s the view you must believe rather than the lies you have been programmed with. And once you love YOU - you can start loving others - your children, your family, your friends, your co-workers, and all your neighbors - and maybe even those that are not so lovable.

So my appeal to you today is to make the commitment to love yourself by learning to love and trust the God who created you.

You want to love others? You must love YOURSELF!

The Single Mom Chronicles Scripture:

Matthew 22: 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[c] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[d]”
