OMG! I'm a Single Mom?

Some people make a choice to be single, and that's okay, but for those of us that thought we would be married with children (even if unhappily married), while keeping house, raising children, throwing theme parties, running carpool, etc. - suddenly facing the world of singleness with children can be quite a shocker!

For me, circumstances over which I had no control forced me into becoming a single mom, with no child support, no alimony, and with a backlash of circumstances that literally caused my life to spiral out of control.

All I know is that OMG! one day - I WAS A Single Mom with 3 incredible children who were looking to me for the "what's next" in life! With those little eyes glaring at me, I pulled myself up by my bootstaps and said to myself, "ok, you can do this!" They become my "Why" for living. I knew that how I reacted, would be how they reacted. So, I called on God, gained my strength and did the thing called parenting alone! And 'do this' I did!

So, after years as a successful Single Mom (though at times I didn't feel like it) I thought, why not share with the world how I made it as a Single Mom - a successful single mom?

It's not always been easy, but with the help of God and my village - I managed to parent some pretty incredible kids.
